I’ve recently had the pleasure of testing the new Self Tying Shoelace (STS) magic trick from Jay Noblezada.

I’d heard good reviews of the trick, so I decided to find out for myself. And I’m glad I did!

Many magic tricks are cheaply produced, with instructions printed in black & white, with grainy images and possibly a DVD-R. What a breath of fresh air Self Tying Shoelace was. You get a proper, professionally produced DVD, with a quality glossy instruction booklet. The gimmick itself is a good solid professional product.

I love performing the trick. The beauty of it is the fact that you perform the magic when nobody expects, as if you weren’t expecting it yourself! You simply wait until someone points out that your lace is untied and then you shake your foot, the lace visibly tying itself!

For the price of this product, it’s an absolute bargain. It’s one trick I can honestly guarantee right now that you’ll be happy with, in terms of value for money, quality and magic trick effect.

If you have even the slightest interest in mentalism magic, then you will have heard of this book.

Described by many as “The bible of mentalism magic”, 13 steps to mentalism is the be-all and end-all of mentalism.

It’s a weighty book, 424 pages in total, hardback, and is packed with information, tips, tricks and routines to keep you entertained for a while to come.

Do I recommend it? Well, when I compare it to whatever else you can buy for £16.99, I can’t really think of a better way to spend your money. Buy it!

I’ve been using this nifty little ring for a couple of months now, and I’m very happy with it.

I’ve used other PK rings before with varying degrees of success. The first problem I had with my previous PK ring (A very popular brand, might I add) is that I got it wet and the colour came off! I was pretty shocked that this was not even mentioned on the product page of the website or even in the instructions, especially considering what I’d paid for it.

Also, my previous PK ring had square edges, which made it stand out a mile off, It’d draw less attention if it was bright green. In fact, after I’d got it wet, it was!

I don’t really know where to start with this PK ring. It’s beatifully crafted, smooth like a proper wedding ring. It’s a warm, gold colour, which evidently is immune to the occasional splash of water. After about 2 month, this ring still looks like new. I’d seen lots of hype about this PK ring on the internet and thought it was just that; hype. However, after using it exhaustively myself, I have seen the light, and won’t be changing back!

Despite this ring being quite sleek and not bulky in the slightest, it packs quite a punch in terms of magnet strength. It can move small objects from a fair few inches away. I compared the strength to my old PK ring and it performs slightly better.
